Add a bit of variety to your fitness routine by joining in our group exercise classes. Both fun and exhilarating, our professional instructors will help you work safely to your own personal maximum. A great way to stay motivated, make new friends and try something new! With a choice of classes available there is something to suit everyone, but if you have a suggestion for a class we are not currently running, please speak to an instructor; we are always interested in hearing what our members really want!

Aerobiking (Various Instructors)

The best fat burning class around! Sometimes called Spinning or R.P.M. this 45 minute class guarantees you will burn more fat than an hour’s workout in the gym! Working out to the beat of the music on a static bike, this class will leave you on a high and wanting more! You will not only feel great you will look great as you tone your thighs and bum to prime condition!

Boxercise (Instructor: Mike Young)

Build your strength and have fun! A circuit based class that uses boxing techniques whilst working with punch bags and pad work. Focusing on non-contact boxing, this class is suitable for all levels of fitness. The class will develop muscular strength, toning, endurance and co-ordination.

Gym Ball (Instructor: Mike Young)

For a completely different workout try this fun class! Using a large ‘stability ball’ you will develop functional strength through a complete body workout that concentrates on your core muscles. Not only will you tone your stomach, the gym ball will also help to strengthen those weak, lower backs. This class involves balance and co-ordination work and is open to those of all levels of fitness.

Mind, Body and Stability (Instructors: Dan Smith/Mike Young)

If you prefer a more relaxing way to workout, try this! Combining elements of yoga, Pilates and body conditioning, this class will strengthen the core muscles of your abdomen and spinal area and is great for anyone with a stiff back. Focusing on posture, core stability and body alignment you will build your strength and increase flexibility throughout your body. A great class suitable for all ages, levels of fitness and experience.

Legs, Bums and Tums
(Instructor: Mike Young/Kat Bailey)

An easy to follow class suitable for all! Starting with a full body warm up followed by 30 minutes of aerobics, you then get to lie down and concentrate on those areas that matter most with toning exercises for the second half of the class. This is a great workout to music with high and low impact alternatives to choose from.

Step Aerobics (Instructor: Lou Morgan)

Fun, effective and will leave you feeling energised! This class is designed to improve your cardiovascular performance and posture, as well as toning the muscles of the legs, thighs and bum. The upper body conditioning element improves upper body strength and tones the muscles of the arms, shoulders, chest and ‘abs’. The workout utilises lots of power, improving muscle strength and stamina and finishes with a 5 minute relaxing stretch.

Total Ab’s (Various instructors)

Dream of a flat, toned or even rippling abdominal region? Then Total Abs is the right choice of exercise for you! This conditioning, instructor led class lets you workout comfortably in the knowledge that your health and safety is being considered. You will get all the advice and tips you need to get the most effective and efficient workout you can. Total Abs is an excellent means of exercising your stomach muscles effectively whilst improving your abdominals, back muscles and posture simultaneously.

Non-Members:
Aqua Aerobics and Yoga: £4.50
All other classes £3.00

Members:
Gym and Swim members are entitled to unlimited studio based classes excluding Yoga, where one class a month is free only.
Anytime members are entitled to four free studio based classes per month, excluding Yoga.
Concessions members are entitled to two free studio based classes per month, excluding Yoga.
