Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. Can I bring guests into the club? A. Members can sign in a guest to use the gym free of charge twice per month, thereafter at a charge of £5.00 per session. Members can sign in a guest to use the swimming pool at a charge of £5.00 per session. Q. Are children allowed in the club? A. Adult membership is available to anyone aged 18 or over. Younger family members aged 16 or 17 only, may be admitted at guest rates, if accompanied by an adult family member. Q. Is the Health Suite (sauna/steam room/jacuzzi) unisex? A. Yes. Appropriate swimwear must be worn along with footwear such as flip-flops or spa slippers. Slippers are available to buy from reception at a cost of £2.00 a pair, flip-flops cost £2.50. Q. Are the shower facilities communal or single units? A. All of the showers are single units providing complete privacy. Shower gel is provided and hairdryers are also available for use free of charge. Towels are available to hire for just £1.00. Q. Do I have to become a member to use the Fitness Club? A. Non-members can purchase a book of 5 or 10 swims, priced at £25.00 and £50.00 respectively. Day passes can be purchased at £8.00 to use the gym OR the swimming pool, or at a cost of £10.00 to use both facilities. Non-members are also encouraged to attend fitness classes. Q. Some of my colleagues are also interested in joining; can we get a corporate membership to Portland Spa Fitness Club? A. We do offer corporate membership, which is dealt with on a company to company basis. For more information on this, speak to Kat Bailey, Senior Instructor.
